Ephémérides des huit premiers satellites de Saturne pour 1982

Abstract : In 1980 Bureau des Longitudes, taking the opportunity of a campaign of observations of the mutual phenomena of the Satellites of Saturn, published the ephemerides of the first eight satellites of this planet for February, March and April of that year. These ephemerides came from the theory by Rapaport (Thèse d'Etat, Bordeaux 1977). The differential coordinates of the bodies were developed into Chebyshev polynomials, these coordinates being well fitted for the location of the satellites and the Chebyshev developments giving the coordinates with a high accuracy. This initiative was welcomed by the observers and after the above mentioned campaign, many demands for more ephemerides were received at Bureau des Longitudes. This is why the publication in a second Supplément à Ia Connaissance des Temps of the ephemerides of the satellites of Saturn was decided. The first supplement is devoted to the phenomena and configurations of the Galilean Satellites of Jupiter. The ephemerides of the Galilean satellites of Jupiter are published in Connaissance des Temps3 the presentation being identical with the presentation adopted here.
