Livrable 4.1.4 Projet H2020 Smagrinet: Blended learning principles and feasibility study

In the context of the creation of SMAGRINET capacity building programs, the WP4 aims to address urgent capacity needs through short-term programs. These programs target three different groups: Engineering workforce, early stage researchers and engineering researchers, broader public.
The program should combine blended learning and MOOC principles to provide innovative digitalised learning approach to reach out and educate large number of stakeholders. The first delivery expected for the Work Package 4 is the 3 shortterm programs that include 5 recorded video lectures of 15 to 20 minutes with material for 2 online sessions. The production of 2 hours of video materials for 3 kind of public, totally 6 hours of videos, with complementary materials such as documents, references, quiz, exercises was planned to be created in 3 months (M6- M9).
The aim of this document is to formalize the process of creation of these shortterm programs. It will notably present the orientation given to the short-term programs as well as difficulties and questions related to the design process of these programs. T
he first part of this document will present a review of MOOC and blended learning approach. A third part will do feedback from the creation and the achievement of a SPOC about digital transformation at University of Lorraine. Then, the fourth part will deal with the design process of the programs. Finally, the conclusion will highlight difficulties, questions and future action.
