About the proposal for software indicators in Open Science Monitor

In spring 2018, the European Union published the Open Science Monitor (OSM) - a tool which measures the progress of open science in Europe. The Committee for Open Science's Free and Open Source Software Expert Group has made a critical analysis of the OSM's proposed software indicators. While highlighting the possible risks it has suggested alternatives to effectively take community practices into account and avoid calculation bias.
