Abstract : Capitalizing on my recent work on Afroasiatic corpus and intonation (CorpAfroas 2007-2012), this paper uses a corpus-based analysis to study the part of intonation in the exponents of topic and focus in Zaar, a South-Bauchi Chadic language spoken in Northern Nigeria.
